ABOUT MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is simply:
• paying attention
• on purpose
• in the present moment
• without clinging to judgment.

This clears and prepares the mind to respond in more effective ways to the challenges we face

Living mindfully means living every waking moment with intentional non-judgmental awareness. Living mindfully can be understood as the opposite of living mindlessly, or on automatic pilot.

MINDFUL AWARENESS

IS SIMPLE

BUT NOT EASY

Mindful Awareness Training is attention training using exercises focused on awareness of:

the breath

physical sensations in the body

thoughts

emotions

sensory perceptions

As your capacity to focus and concentrate increases, you become more conscious of possibilities that exist for change, growth and healing.

As you become more mindfully aware of what is occurring in the body in the moment, you respond more effectively to mind-body signals.

As you become more mindfully aware of the world around you, including the people with whom you interact, you naturally respond more effectively and with more empathy and compassion.
